Oiva Toikka's marsh duck is made of amethyst-colored glass with beautiful shimmering details. The marsh duck joined Iittala's glass bird family in 1991.
The first glass birds were designed in 1972 by Professor Oiva Toikka. To date, more than 400 pieces have been created, embodying the designer's beautiful and creative way of seeing the world as well as the expertise of the glassblowers. Each bird is mouth-blown, unique, and signed. Toikka's birds are treasured and valued gifts, attracting collectors from around the world.
